Male Fertility Vitamins?

Well, been kind of a bad day for my hubby and I:( but we are trying to stay positive as always! Spoke with the nurse today about my hubby's SA results. She told me some of his numbers were bad so my dr would like us to f/u next week Wednesday when I have my HSG done. (Any recommendations for when I have the HSG done?)Does anyone have any recommendations for male fertility vitamins? Was reading up on some and came across a couple one being proxeed and the other fertilaid... have any of your hubbys used these or something else? Also came across conceiveeasy, anyone tried that? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hoping for good results on my HSG next week and hopefully we can work with my hubbys swimmers lol;)! 

PS. Going Thursday to have my blood work done to test my hormones AGAIN since the lab messed up last cycle and didn't run all the tests! Hopefully things work out right this time around! Fingers crossed!

    I'm so sorry for the bad news!! Did the nurse give you specifics on what the "bad" numbers are? I have heard of some ladies getting improved SA's with their DH's taking some of the supplements you mentioned but it depends on how low your DH's numbers are.
    TTC since June 2011
    DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
    Me (32): all clear
    Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
    Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
    Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
    2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
    Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
    ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
    TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
    froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
    8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
    Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
    SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
    SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
    9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
    All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
    FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
    moving on to DS
    DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.
    DIUI#2 3/19/13, 50 mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta #1 (14dpiui) 4/2/13: BFP!!!! 150. Beta #2 4/4/13: 420 Beta #3 4/8/13: 2691. Beta #4 4/15/13: 15,086
    1st u/s 4/8/13 shows one gestational sac
    2nd u/s 4/15/13 shows yolk sac, fetal pole and early heartbeat
    3rd u/s 4/25/13: measuring right on track. Heart rate 148 bpm
    A/S 7/22/13: IT'S A BOY!!

    My husband is on fertility blend. That was what our RE recommended. We have not had a repeat SA to see if it helped or not. Also my hsg is April 3, so I don't have any tips for you. Good luck

    My RE and dh's URO both recommended one of the following supplement vitamin's:  ProXeed, Conception RX, or Fertility Blend for Men.  Based on what is in all three vs. the cost we went with Fertility Blend for Men because I can buy i

    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy

    Mu hubby used to use Motility Boost and now is on Fertilaid for Men as recommended by our TCM Practitioner. He also takes Vit D. 

    Something to keep in mind for anyone who isn't on a 'blend' and is using specific vits - any excess zinc can make it difficult for your body to absorb vitamin D. So if DH is on zinc, he should also be taking vitamin D and copper to make sure he's getting enough D. Of course, talk to your doctor about whether that would be helpful for you.
    30 yrs, healthy & TTC since April 2010 
    DH 32yrs & healthy
    *unexplained infertility* 

    Regularly access alternative medicine to supplement a lack of resources in our geographical area.
    • Three rounds of clomid (50mg days 3-7) were useless.
    • IUI#1 w/clomid & HCG in May 2013, BFN.
    • IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
    • IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
    • IVF#1 - Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
    • IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.

    Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .

    Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October

    Sorry about the bad news :(
    My DH has been taking Fertility Blend for just over 3 months. We will repeat SA next month to see what if any improvement it has made.

    January 2010 SA results: Count 16 million, Motility 40%, Morphology 2%
    January 2010- Surprise BFP! DS born 10/1/2010 :)
    January 2013 TTC #2
    September 2013 Repeat SA: Count= 1.7 million, Motility= 24%, Morphology= 2%
    November 6th 1st Appointment with RE: diagnosed with severe MFI
    Testing to try to determine a cause & possible treatment for MFI
    CD 3 blood work for me. RE does not want to repeat my HSG/lap at this point,
    but may want to before moving forward with any fertility treatments.
    After seeing the uro, DH is currently taking lots of supplements and clomid to try to boost his count. We will have a repeat SA in February to see if it works.
    Follow up SA numbers are: Count= 4 million, Motility= 40%, Morphology= 1%
    Uro wants us to have another follow up SA 5/9 to see if we see further improvement than we are back to the RE to make a game plan.

    SA 5/9/2014 Count: 12 Million, Motility: 60%, and Morphology 2%. We will be doing iui #1 in late June

    IUI #1 6/28 clomid + ovidrel, post wash count 3 million total sperm= BFN

    IUI # 2 7/21 clomid+ ovidrel. post wash count 900,000 total sperm= BFN

    IVF planned for early November- cancelled due to cyst

    December IVF #1- 22 eggs, 20 mature,16 fertilized

    12/9 Transferred 1 4AA Blast, 6 frosties

    Where can these vitamins be found?? I have been looking for a fertility blend for dh

    Miscarriage confirmed 10/19/13

    CD 21 full panel blood work 3/18/14 to initiate fertility treatment

    RE has DH on Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Folic Acid, Fish Oil, Zinc and Co-Q10. He also takes L-Carnitine and Maca Root. Lots of pills but we have had good results with the supplements.
