Birthday gift for 5 yr old boy

DS bithday is coming up soon, and I dont have any ideas for gifts.  He isnt particularly interested in anything lately, so no clues from him.

Any suggestions?

    Has he played board games?  We went to a 5 year old boy's bday party a few months ago and since my little guy is only 3, I asked her if there were any suggestions of things he would like.  Connect 4 and Jr. Monopoly were suggested to us.
