Your weird quirks

I wonder what weird quirks our babies will have as they grow up. What are some of yours?

Mine include:

Making sure the meat portion of a microwavable meal (i.e. Lean Cuisine) is always on the left when I eat it
Closing the shower curtain after I'm done showering (and closing it if DH leaves it open)
Laying on my left side to fall asleep at night
Going through the exact same shower routine every.single.day

I'm not even going to fight @jodegaard about what direction the toilet paper should face

I need darkness to sleep. I close the bathroom door in our room because it lets in light even at night.
I can't sleep knowing our bedroom door is open.
I like to eat my food evenly. Everything must finish equally. If not, I get more of whatever I need.
I hate voicemails. Not sure if that's a quirk, but I do. I hate getting them and hearing them, but I also can't stand that little thing telling me I have a voicemail.

I cannot relax if there is something around the house that needs to be done. Like...I could sit on the couch, but it would be nagging the back of my mind the whole time.

DH is not like this at all. He's much more of a 'do it later' kind of guy. Drives me B A N A N A S.

I always have to clear the microwave when the food is done. I hate when someone leaves the microwave displaying seconds left. It should always display the time.

One thing I've noticed already is DD will make sure to touch pairs of things with both hands, like the arms of an arm chair, the ropes on her swing, my feet and legs. She'll get into position to pat them evenly every time. I used to do this but it didn't escalate to OCD, just an appreciation for symmetry.

I have to hit "clear" on the microwave if someone stops the timer early. It has to show the time or I have anxiety over it.

The coffee pot handle always has to be to the left.

That's all I can think of right now.

Oh my God, I have mild OCD so there are too many to name. But one of my biggest quirks is that I always have to make sure the bottom of my feet are clean. I always wear sandals in the summer, so I wash my feet like twenty times a day. To the point that my heels are dry and cracked. I just bought a super moisturizing cream for them. My OCD doesn't just apply to dirt. I always have to be sure all of our closet and cupboard doors are closed, I check to be sure the doors are locked approx. 15 times before I go to bed, the shades have to be opened to all the same length. I sound like a real fun time, huh?

I need the sheet tucked in so hard that I can't pull it out by accident.

I break up my grilled cheese and put it into tomato soup so it's like I have mini grilled cheese croutons.

I eat multicolored fruit candy in order by color and always my least favorite to my favorite.

On the rare occasion I get a candy bar that is chocolate encasing something else (snickers, twix, etc), I peel the chocolate off first with my teeth and eat the inside last.

I don't like socks. I avoid them at all costs. I only wear them if I'm doing Zumba. I own 2 pairs that are 6 years old; that's how long my hatred of socks has been going on.

I can't relax with uneccessary lights on in the house. Wasting electricity!

I don't like for my ears to show.

I also have mild OCD, so I also have too many to list! I have to have all things symmetrical, level, and even (basically I'm a human measuring tape and level). This applies to everything, pictures, menus, table settings, etc. Also too many things out and around bother me too, also if things are falling I tend to throw them, or throw them away.

I shower in the same order every day.

I eat one thing at a time on my plate and save the best for last.

I don't like my food to touch.

I sort candy into colors.

I have to have the shower curtain closed and the toilet seat lid down.

I sort my colored candy by color and I have to eat them two by two of the same color. If they are not the same color they at least have to coordinate.
The blinds have to be closed the same way (going up) My DH does it teh opposite and I have to change it if he closes them.
Even if my DH checks on DS before bed I still have to do it. It will drive me crazy if I don't actually see him before bed.
I can't walk over grates or sewers. I avoid it at all costs.
