Babies r us trade in event... CANCELLED!

I just spoke with a representative on their Facebook page asking when the next event was and they replied that the one that was scheduled has been cancelled and there are no immediate plans to reschedule. Soooo guess that's out.

    Well, that stinks. I didn't have a trade anyway, but I'm sorry for y'all who did. Amazons prices are better anyway, give them a look.

    You should change the title of this thread to BRU Trade in event cancelled!!!!! I just went to the FB page and saw the response I am soooo angry I have been saving stuff for a year!

    Boo!  That sucks.  We got "gifted" 2 infant carseats from virtual strangers (long story) that I put up in the attic thinking I would take them to the trade-in event and get a convertible.  Oh well, we have enough room to store them (although that's annoying to do) until they decide to have another one.

    I would post your disappointment on their FB page.  Maybe the response will encourage them to schedule another event.

    I've been saving things to trade in also. While it's true that you can get better prices other places without the trade-in, it makes me feel better to bring it to the store rather than throw things away.

    Maybe we should all bombard their page with comments so they bring it back. Link please?

    Suck! We also got a hand me down seat that I was planning to trade in.

    I wonder if that's just their standard response to questions regarding when the next trade-in event is. They want people to buy now and pay full price. It's not in the company's best interest to freely share their sales agendas.

    That would be pretty underhanded but not surprising. I don't plan to rush out and buy anything anyway so this doesn't change my plans much. This just means I will most likely purchase elsewhere.
