New England says Summer is over

The next few days are going to feel like September, so says the weathermen.

I LOVE summer...but all of the sudden I've found myself wanting the fall so badly I'm bound to hate myself in about 3 months when cold weather hits hard.

I love the fresh, crisp smell of fall.  I love the color on the trees.  The various fairs, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season.  My birthday.  And this year A's first birthday!!  I'm hoping I can actually enjoy fall this year since last year I was so uncomfortable and felt lousy.

Anyone else?

Re: New England says Summer is over

  • We had such a hot and humid summer here in NE! Having said that, I'm NOT ready for summer to be over yet!!! It definitely feels like fall this AM; almost wished I had worn longsleeves for my walk this AM with DS. Hoping for 2 more weeks of hot days...

Yeah, it def feels like summer is over here, too. Today is a high of 67 and we're in pants and long sleeves.  I LOVE fall, but I feel like I missed out on summer- worked in July and then after I was done working it got cold.  We haven't even been able to enjoy our pool passes :(

ETA: spelling and also- the bright side is at least we're saving money not running the AC.
  • I am so tired of summer. It's freaking hot and I want to decorate for Halloween and see Ashley turn one.
  • I love it all. All the seasons are so great. I could never live on the equator.
  • I'm not entirely ready for it to be over, I'm just looking forward to fall.  Yeah, it was a super hot and humid July.  Then August kinda forgot what season it's in.  At least it wasn't a cold summer all year like it was a few years back.  Actually, I remember the year I got married (2011) the weekend we got hitched was pretty much the only decent weekend that year.

    I don't want a long winter, though....I'm over winter by January 2nd.
