I know some of you have moved recently. How did you manage to pack/ready the house for showings, etc. while trying to keep your child from falling down stairs, eating toxic plants, swallowing small items, and so on. We just decided to list our house and I'm in the process of everything, but my husband works 12 hours shifts, two on, two off, three on, three off, so I'm on my own for much of this. Ideas to keep Kate entertained? She hates sitting with toys in her pack n play, or "play pen", as my grandma calls it and thinks I should just plop her in there all day and that she should be content. Thanks.
Re: Tips on how to pack for a move while trying to watch your kid
We tried to pack after DS went to bed. After each box was packed and taped up we put them in the dining room. We packed after we sold our house though. We had family come over to help us pack and one person was in charge of watching DS.
At this age it would be much harder! I would try get a box for just her to play with - put her toys in, take them out. She will probably mimick what you are doing. While you are packing her room, will she sit in her crib and play?
Good luck!
