DD sleeps AWESOME in her crib at night (10 hours or so) but will only nap in her swing during the day. I don't want to do any CIO until after 6 months if necessary, but I need to try and transition her to the crib soon.
4 months or so consistently. If she's not feeling well or I think she needs good sleep but she's not napping well on a random day I will let her nap in my arms if she wakes up and won't go back to sleep in the crib. But usually cribs since about 4 months
I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
We started her off in her crib. The first two weeks she would end up sleeping on me a lot but she would always start off in her crib. She was going at least 6 hours before the dreaded 4 month wakeful hit and that lasted for 6 weeks. She is now sleeping 11-12 hours at night and taking 2-3 two hour naps in it during the day. It was really difficult in the beginning because I would have to get up and go in her room a lot at night but it has worked out in the end.
DS slept in his crib at night from 5 days old. We started consistently doing naps in the crib a couple of weeks ago (he is 4 months on Saturday). Now he only sleeps in his crib (or the PnP at the nanny's house). It too, a little adjusting. But he got used to it pretty quickly.
