Ugh. This is exactly why I was so determined to BF.. So we could avoid this! When we first started supplementing, we were using enfamil newborn, but DS was spitting it up and there was a tiny bit of blood in his stool.. Ped had us go to soy since DS1 required soy.. Started on similac isomil.. Fine for a week and now constipation and crazy gas causing all day/night grunting and groaning and screaming! Ugh. So I decided let's try the enfamil soy and see how he does with that.. Projectile vomit, WTF. With DS1 we had to do a split of nutramigen and similac isomil... I wish my kids were not so sensitive to formulas!! It just makes the BFing fail suck that much more, I've been pumping, and was getting about 15oz/day, but over a week that's dropped to under 8 a day. I'm lucky to get an ounce from each side now.. Idk why it tanked s bad.
I'm going to try the prosobee again and jus do a 50-50 split with the isomil and see if he handles that better.. If not, I guess nex step is try the isomil and nutramigen like we did for DS1... Nutramigen is so damn expensive though!! And, was such a pita because Ds1 was always hungry because he digested it so fast... Ughhhh. This sucks.
