I walked into this yesterday. It was the first time I've seen him do this. Frightening and cute all at the same time! I will be babyproofing and lowering the crib mattress this weekend!!

    Same thing happened to us Sunday morning...we were almost late for church b/c I insisted on doing it right then since we don't get home till late on Sundays (we spend the day at my parents') and I didn't want to take a chance of her doing it again Sunday night.

    Just curious - how long did it take you to adjust her mattress? DH is home today and could probably do it.

    I just lowered DD's crib last week and it took me 5-10 min. It was so much easier than I thought it was going to be.

    Maybe 10 mins...on ours you just have to use an alan wrench and loosen the bolts to lower the metal bed frame. We did the front two, reattached them, then did the back two.
