At the risk of starting another food debate...
At DD's 6 month appointment we were cleared to try yogurt, it seemed early but I gave her some of my greek yogurt that I had in the house. She has had it a few times now and loves it. I figured I should buy her some of her own now since her nutritional needs are slightly different than mine. I typically look for lower calorie options for myself and since she is really small for her age she needs all of the calories she can get.
So, what do you look for in yogurt for babies/kids? Any favorite brands?

Plain yogurt isn't my favorite so for DH and me I use vanilla extract and honey to flavor it and eat it with granola. DD eats it that way or mixed with applesauce and cinnamon in a pouch.
peach, cherry, strawberry vanilla, blueberry, mixed berry
all are good!
organic and not a lot of sugar!

Basically, you heat milk to 180/190 degrees, let it cool back down to 120 degrees, and then add two tablespoons of yogurt for every quart of milk.
I put the warm jars (I use quart jars) in an insulated cooler bag, and put a heating pad on high in with it. It's usually ready in about 4 hours, though if I make it late in the day, I let it sit (unheated) overnight. You can also use a warm oven instead, or even just a warm place in your house. I use whole milk.

I usually buy Stoneyfield whole milk plain yogurt. DS loves it with some fresh fruit mashed up or granola.
