It doesn't ring true. I've had god awful heartburn with all of mine, all were bald but one, but her hair fell out a few weeks later. I imagine this one is going to be bald too.
I've kept mine under control with meds, thank goodness, cause there are days with my other ones where I swore I could peel the paint off a car by just spitting on it.
So these meds, is it a pill a day? I take zantac every so often I just feel "bad" relying on OTC meds. I one of those weirdos who waits out the headache instead of taking a Tylenol. Like some twisted part of me thinks I'll become immune to a normal dosage if I use it to excess.
I take two 15mg Prevacid a day, without it I would literally be throwing up several times a day and rotting out my back teeth from the stomach acid.
Trust me, I've been on prescription Nexium before and this stuff is mild compared to that. Both work great, but Prevacid doesn't have the side effects that Nexium has. I was on Nexium for almost 4 yrs and never built up a tolerance to it. I stopped taking it because of the side effects.
Take something, don't suffer! And one or two pills a day is so much better for you than all the tums you end up choking down in a day to control the heartburn.
I had bad heartburn the last 10 or so weeks with dd1 and she had lots of hair. It has started with this one too. I'm avoiding the worst offenders for food and keeping tums close at hand. The other stuff wasn't worth the expense for me as it didn't work regularly.
i take prilosec or zantac 2 x a day lately, *AND* tums on an emergency basis. it's bad for me. i had it with my son, but not this bad that i recall.. and he DID have an insanely full head of hair. heheh
