YESSS! the breeze will be worth the extra 10 bucks. I live in Texas...I got the breeze. I will get the original for winter though- if i still wear O.
@brandilc84 I saw something in the booklet (I think) that came with the breeze about rotating the circle so that the regular fabric covers baby in the winter and the mesh part will be on your back. That might save you from spending the extra cash for a regular one also.
As for OPs question, I'd get the breeze because I feel like you get the best of both worlds.

yup yup you can use both sides! however; the breeze doesn't stretch like the original, even on the cotton part of the breeze, and I am thinking that when O gets bigger the breeze won't work for us.
I just bought the regular version but I also live in PA so it's not nearly as hot as in the South and the warmer fabric will be really nice during the fall and winter time.

I got the breeze. LO doesn't like being worn much though, sadly. I would really think about the size you get is my only recommendation. I got the size I should wear according to their chart, and it's pretty snug right now with very little stretch at all. When LO gets a little bigger, I don't know how he's going to fit. I feel like I need to return it for the next size up.

yup I agree. I got my size based on their size chart. It's snug- and I can't imagine it being comfortable when O is way bigger.
With the original- I needed to size down because it's stretchy.
