D&C tomorrow

So scared. I just have a horrible feeling that I just don't need it.... History for those of you that do not know. I had a dr appointment on July 25th and the baby had stopped growing at 6w and I should have been 9. I decided to ake miso the same day. I cramped for 5 hours then passed what I thought was everything. I had my 2 week follow up and the dr said I still had tissue (about the size of a thumb nail). If I dont get the D&C I may have infection or hemorrhaging. I had bleeding Saturday and Sunday and I think it may have passed. I begged the dr to do another ultrasound just to make sure.

I understand your fear but a d&c is very easy physically and according to my dr is the best option for optimal healing. I found the most comforting thing about having a d&c was the fact that when all was done my dr said that everything looked great and that there should be no problems at all when my DH and I try again. Also the fact that I didn't have to wait to mc..it was done and over in thirty minutes. We all heal differently but for me knowing all steps were made to make sure my body was ready for the next was very comforting. I'm sorry you are going through this and hope you have a smooth and easy recovery.

I know it's scary, I was scared at first before getting my D&C, but I agree with PP...considering all the options I felt that one was the best for me.

It is scary at first, but you will be glad you had it done. It is the only way to be sure the miscarriage is completely over, you won't be getting sick from it, and your body is ready to start over. I was very scared beforehand as well. You will be okay. T&P with you.
