Re: **2IF Grad Check-in**

  • How many weeks? 24 today. Viability!
Any updates? Ultrasounds, tests, names, etc? I have one hour glucose test today. yuck. :(
QOTW: what has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey? The hardest was wondering if it would ever happen for us (a successful pregnancy for #2). One of the best is seeing how excited DD is for her baby brother. every day she has a new idea of what toy she will share or what she will teach him. she wanted to be a big sister for a long time and I'm so excited for her.

  • Congrats to Nawlins!!!  Need more updates woman!  (when you have time)

    How many weeks? 31 tomorrow!
Any updates? Ultrasounds, tests, names, etc? U/S tomorrow just a fluid and growth check, GD class on Wednesday afternoon
QOTW: what has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey?  I think the hardest part has been the highs and lows.  Its like there is this extreme high that we are here and PG 31 weeks with a healthy baby, but then the complications have kept me so on edge.  The SCH at 10 weeks, then great u/s at 18, then failed the GDTest at 29 weeks, and then 30 weeks contractions sent us to L&D.  I am not complaining, I am THRILLED this little boy is still kicking (kicking so hard it HURTS sometimes); but I just wish it was a little less stressful....I do have to end on a positive note: the new GD diet is going to keep me from gaining the extra weight that I was on my way to gaining, the new diet has some great fresh food/recipes that I am looking forward to trying.  This is NOT the worst that could happen in a pregnancy.

Best thing today is that my mom had my house cleaned and DH gave me strict orders to put my feet up while DS naps.  My stress level decreased so much!  Also, this weekend "we" (DH) made some progress on our completely gutted master bath!!  I am so excited!

  • Hi ladies!!  I rarely lurk over here and didn't know there was a 2IF check-in!  Can I join you lovelies this late in the game?  I see lots of familiar 'faces'!

My history is in my siggy, but for mobile, I had 4 m/c's while ttc #2 and am currently pg after our first IVF attempt.  My EDD is 10/15.  This started as a triplet pregnancy, but we lost ID twins around 12-13 weeks.  This LO (a boy!) seems to be growing strong, but found out at my 30 week appointment I am already 1-2cm dilated and my cervix is measuring about 2.5 (not horrible, but not great).  I'm on modified bed rest and going for weekly OB appointments at this point.

How many weeks? 31 weeks tomorrow!
Any updates? Ultrasounds, tests, names, etc?  Appointment tomorrow to check cervix.  Not sure if they'll do a u/s to measure length.
QOTW: what has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey?  The hardest part has definitely been losing the twins.  The modified bedrest now is difficult too, especially since I SAH with DD.  DH is helping a lot though, so that helps.  The best part has been feeling this LO move.  I had an anterior placenta with DD, and I never really felt a lot of movement, so this is a new experience for me.

  • Hi ladies! Hope everyone is having a good week!
    How many weeks? 8 weeks
Any updates? Had our first ultrasound last Wednesday which revealed triplets! I'm still floored and feeling really overwhelmed. Waiting on an appt with MFM and we're being referred to (as I understand it) one of the highest regarded OB's in the city. Really looking forward to these appointments so I feel like there's some kind of game plan!
QOTD: What has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey? The hardest is definitely the unknown. Will the babies be really premature, will they have long term problems? How will I manage with my DH being away long stretches of time on deployments? The best part has been in finding out that we are able to expand our family, and there's just going to be a lot more love in our house!
Me: 33 DH: 36 Unexplained IF

    IUI #5 - Gonal-F/Ovidrel and IUI -- BFP!!
    EDD: March 22, 2013
    It's triplets!!

  • How many weeks? 16

Any updates? Ultrasounds, tests, names, etc? No big updates. Finally getting that 2nd tri energy and nausea and gagging has mostly subsided. Next appointment is at the end of the month, but still dont' get to find out sex of this LO until 22 weeks! :(

QOTW: what has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey?

I agree with KK.  It was a very long road to get here and I wasn't sure we would ever make it. We decided this was our last year of trying and it if didn't happen then we were just going to be happy as a family of 3. Even now with  numerous u/s and appointments behind us it still seems surreal and I've had several nightmares about losing this baby.

Best part also is how excited DD is to be a big sister! She kisses my tummy all the time and talks about she wants to help when the baby arrives. I can't wait to see them together!

  • I am 17 weeks tomorrow. I have to take an early glucose test tomorrow, since I am overweight and I hope I pass. Also we had an elective ultrasound on Saturday than confirmed that she is a girl. I started feeling her, which is great thing.

The hardest thing was this whole year, IVF for the first time, frozen cycle all the shots and waiting. then the pregnancy is so far a hard one for me, with bleeding, er stay and a hospital stay. Long road to get here and not sure if I will make it. My DH still has not job and we are worried. A lot of events in a short 8 months. Hoping for the best.

    Best of luck to all.

  • I'm 20 weeks! I had my a/s last week...everything looked great with both babies and my cervix was good and closed. I've been feeling movement a lot more now, so that's exciting! I've also been having so many aches and pains and get so tired doing anything. I'm already anxious for my next appt, which is 3 weeks away! I'm terrified something will go wrong, but trying to stay positive.

Qotw: Worst thing was miscarrying after the fresh ivf cycle. The second worst thing, is all the anxiety I have with this pregnancy. It makes it hard to enjoy it! The best thing is being able to experience this again and to share this with my husband for his first time.
TTC #3 (#1 for DH) since September 2011. DX: Unexplained infertility with possible cervical factor. May 2012 did clomid with IUI - BFN August 2012 IUI #2 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN September 2012 IUI #3 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN October 2012 IUI #4 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN November/December 2012 IVF/ICSI #1 Retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized. Transferred 1 beautiful embryo and 5 made it to freeze. Got my BFP! January 2013 u/s showed empty gestational sac. FET cycle April 2013.  Transferred 2 5 day embryos.  BFP!!!!!  2 heartbeats!!!!  EDD:  12/27/13
  • Hi ladies.  I didn't know about this board.  Thanks KK for posting the link on 2IF.  I hope it's ok if I post my update.  It is so nice to see all your familiar "faces".

24 weeks today.  Next appointment in on 09/03.  Nothing special going on at that appointment.

QOTW: what has been the hardest (and best) part of this journey? The PGAL brain for sure.  Even at 24 weeks I am worried something will happen.  I have major anxiety since I will most likely have another csection.  I had a terrible experience the first time around.  I want a VBAC but it most likely won't happen.  I have a small pelvic structure and my daughter was 9lbs10oz so I will probably have another big baby.
