The duck, duck, goose debate

I'm in ND, and growing up, I learned that the game was duck, duck, goose. There was also a similar game we played that you called out colors, and then the person it was grey duck. So this is a debate between people that I've met from MN. MN says it is duck, duck, grey duck. So this has be curious. Is this just a ND/MN thing or is it called different names throughout the country/world. So what do you call the game and what state are you from?

Also, the ladies on here from MN....is it duck, duck, grey duck where you are too or is it just a the people that I've met from MN that call it that?

Not that it's a big deal, I'm just curious and I think it's fun!!

I have never heard it done any other way then "Duck, Duck, Goose.", but I have the worst memory ever.

This is fun! @auroraloo we played that game too, but it was just a variation of duck, duck, goose. It must just be a MN thing...just like hot dish vs casserole. Here in ND, its hot dish.

Never heard anything other than duck, duck, goose, except when my youngest brother was little he forgot the last word and said "duck, duck, bunny duck"
