Got the drinking thing in public nailed!

So I know there are tons of posts on here about how to fool people etc...and I'm proud to say I nailed it last night! So you know if you're in a crowded place, a bar or barbeque, you can just fix your own drink, and no one will care. Just make sure it has lime or whatever and looks fizzy.

But last night I went out with DH and a bunch of our friends to my own birthday dinner, and dinner is tricky because you're ordering right there in front of everyone. So I called the restaurant in advance and told the hostess "I cant drink and Im not comfortable telling people...if you catch my gist.." She was totally on board and said they got requests like that all the time. She asked me what I usually order (Prosecco) and she said, I could actually just say Prosecco at the table and they would send me a flute with sparkling cider instead. Worked like a charm! I had 3.
