AW: We graduated formulas!

Asher's pedi was so impressed with his progress at his 2m apt that he let us come off the preemie formula!!! This is huge to us, since initially his estimate was 6-9m. Asher is in the 95% for adjusted height and weight, and seriously, the pedi was gushing over how well he's growing. I am just so grateful that God answered our prayers for him to thrive when they took him out early.

    Thanks! How is your LO doing?

    Asher is transitioning well on Gentlease. He's not fussing about the new taste, and it's not causing him any intestinal issues. We're doing half and half while we use up the rest of the enfacare, and we hope this will help with the incredible gas he's had for weeks.

    Congrats, mama! Out of curiosity, what was his birthweight and how much does he weigh now? At DD's 2 month we asked when we can take her off the Enfacare and our pedi said not yet. She was 3lbs 11oz at birth and at her weight check last week she was 8lbs6oz.

    Good for your little girl! That's some good weight gain! I hope she's able to come off soon, but it sounds like she was much earlier than Asher was, so she might need a little more time.


    Asher was 5lbs at birth, 7.8lbs at 1m, and 11.13 at 2m. He's steadily been putting on a pound a week since we brought him home. He's in the 37% for birth age, and the 95% for gestational age. I think all of that factors in to our pedi being comfortable with the switch.

    That's wonderful news!  Go Asher!

    We're still using Similac Neosure. DS has his two month appt on Thursday and I'm going to ask how long we should keep using it.
