WWAMD? Re: Spotting

Yesterday afternoon I started spotting. It started out pink/red and went to brown. I called my new OB and they said they wouldn't see me until 8 weeks and to go to the ER if it becomes a heavy flow. This hasn't been normal for my first two pregnancies and I just feel really uneasy. I don't know if I should go back to my old OB and either get a sonogram or blood work done, or just wait it out another 2 weeks. Any advice/insight on what I should do? TIA!

I would get a sonogram for the peace of mind.

I would go to the ER if your OB won't see u.

Has it continued, are you cramping? Spotting can be completely normal in early pregnancy. If it stopped and you aren't cramping then its probably fine. If it continues or get worse I would get checked out.

Keep in mind, I'm not a doctor, this is just want I would personally do.

I had the same spotting lastnight. Sarted out pinkish/red and then went to brown. I called my doctor and she is getting me in today for a sono and bloodwork. She did hesitate though since im only 6 weeks. She said its possible to see no heart beat even if everything is fine. I requested it just for what could be peace of mind!
