Logistics of popping in front of your DH

Okay so how does this work? We have 3 bathrooms so obviously there wouldn't be too many occasions where I would need the bathroom and not have one available. So if that isn't the scenario what would it be. Like if DH was brushing his teeth and you had to poop, would you choose the same bathroom if two others were available? Would you do it so you could continue a conversation? Do you have a water closet in your bathroom? So really you are in same room but have privacy? I just honestly don't get it lol. So honestly if you have other bathroom options on the same floor would you still do it? My DH is confused too. He thinks there may be a sexual component for some, I laughed at that! School me on it!

Re: Logistics of popping in front of your DH

  • We only have 1 bathroom and I don't poop in front of DH. In fact, if someone tries to talk to me while I'm pooping I get performance anxiety. I will pee in front of him. Having 1 bathroom means sometimes modesty has to go out the window.

  • Only have one bathroom so it is a necessity thing here sometimes.

It gets to be nbd after a while......worse thing that happens is the other person flips on the vent fan.

  • We don't even pee in front of each other! Luckily we have 2 bathrooms, and we live in a condo so it's not a far walk to the 2nd bathroom.

  • We never really poop when someone is in the bathroom. Pee, yes. Poop, no. I mean its happened when someone has had diarrhea and the other person was in the shower or something but otherwise we leave. Now that we have multiple bathrooms this isn't really an issue.

  • When you have to go you have to go. We don't sit there just watching each other do our business but its NBD if we walk in on each other. Everyone poops!
Yeah, I would hold it for a week before pooping in front of anyone! I also can't poop in a public bathroom and never could.

  • See, I think sometimes you need to leave a little mystery in a relationship. I have never gone to the bathroom in front of DH, nor will I ever if I can help it. If that's how you roll, more power to you. I just can't.

I do however fart in front of him. I couldn't live like that.

Mystery? Pretty sure my husband knows I pee and poop there is no mystery about it.

And like I said before he has seen me give birth there is no mystery after that.
  • We have two bathrooms, and one is our master bedroom half bath where we keep our toothbrushes, toiletries, etc. If I'm in there pooping, and DH needs to brush his teeth, then he comes in to do so. If he's already in there when I need to use the toilet, I choose the other bathroom, which is, like 3 feet away down the hall. *shrug*

This is me, too.  Plus, we have 3 bathrooms.  It's just not necessary.

I did, however, have no problems calling him into the bathroom when I was hemorrhaging over the toilet a few weeks after having my twins.  @-)

Not to mention, my husband watch hear me pee than smell me fart. Talk about mystery.

Yes. If he leaves to poop its not like I follow him, but if I'm doing other stuff in the bathroom he'll just poop. And vise versa. Our bathroom door is only closed when company is over though.

  • I totally get the giving birth thing. I also have no problem farting in front of DH. Like a pp mentioned, I also cannot use public restrooms to poop. I will just wait until I get home lol! My DH is really weird about bathroom stuff though. He will actually insist I go downstairs when he is upstairs pooping lol! He can't go if he thinks I can hear lol! Even with peeing so I think we are just odd lol!

this is exactly us, so if you're odd then we're odd too. it's just something that's avoided at all costs. hell i have to turn my head if tosh.0 goes too far w/ a poop related video, i certainly don't need to see it live from anyone. and i'm a very open person.
  • We have one and a half bathrooms, the half bath is the kids and is between their rooms. I never poop in front of DH and I will never. Same thing vice versa. Some things need to be kept private.
