Oatmeal

Question for those moms who have or will give oatmeal instead of rice cereal.

Will you give baby oatmeal or make adult oatmeal and puree it a bit more?

    I gave DS baby oatmeal, but it's too early to think about it yet for DD!

    Yes we won't start for a few more months either. I've just been trying to do my research on how to make oatmeal and other foods. FTM and I'm clueless, just know I don't want to do jarred premade food.

    I made my own rice cereal with dd, it was a waste of time. I actually plan on making all my own food again with ds but only using oatmeal or rice when something needs to be thickened. I don't even think I used awhole box of either.

    We never did cereals with DD #1--we just skipped straight to easily prepared foods like avocado.

    I gave earths best oatmeal. I never gave rice cereal. As a matter I fact, I still give ds1, who is 2, the same oatmeal once a day since it is iron fortified and his iron was a bit low at his 2 year visit. That was the only premade food I gave. I made my own purées.
