allergy results.....

Results are in.......
Amir is allergic to peanuts (will be taking a class Thurs and getting his epipen and wristband), egg whites (is egg whites in mayo?), soybean, and wheat. The last three are low level allergens but none the less something to look out for if to much of. I'm surprised fish didn't show up and am now wondering if it was the Mayo and hard boiled eggs in my tuna that has his poop looking crazy.

We also have to go to an allergist to get his peanut allergy broken down to oil, actual nut, butters, ect.

And since I haven't posted here about his stats for a yr:
30”, 22lb. He's walking, tells me no (verbally and shaking his head), reg cup and hard spout sippy, busy toddler.

Re: allergy results.....

  • Sorry about the allergy news. Is he allergic to dairy or lactose intolerant? I thought I remembered you mentioning that he had lactose issues. Luckily, our lactose intolerance, which was a suspected dairy allergy, seems to have resolved. Maybe Amir's will also, hopefully, if it's just an intolerance and not an allergy.

  • That's what I forgot. Milk....ugh, to much to keep up with. He's lactose intolerant like me. I can't even drink milk though, nor soy without my stomach acting crazy. I'm all coconut milk for me. Or almond.

  • Mayo does have egg whites (actually whole egg) in it.  What your allergist may do is do a controlled bake test for the egg.  Apparently they have you come in and you feed your kid a 1/4 of a muffin every 15 min to see if they are able to tolerate baked egg, which would be less restrictive than absolutely no eggs ever.  This is what we learned today with our allergist.

    Good luck.
    Interesting....we'll see

    :)
