What is your LO going to be for Halloween? I am looking for ideas. I ask DS what he wants to be and he doesn't understand yet, so I guess I get to pick again this year. I figure this is my last year before he has his own opinion! Thoughts?
I refuse to look into Halloween before school starts. My kids will pick costumes and chances are I will spend October making them.
ETA: We do have a yellow care bear costume that would fit DD3 and a monkey that should fit DD2.
We also have a ton of dress up clothes and clearanced Halloween costumes that I bought. The girls usually dress as 2-3 things for school, TorTing, parties, etc. They never go as the same thing twice.
I think DD will be a giraffe. We are hoping to reuse her peanut costume from last year. If not a girrafe, then I may go all out and make her some sort of princessly costume complete with sparkles and poofy skifts, but she really has no idea what a princess is.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
Uuuugh, I'm working again this fall, so I do have to know far enough ahead of time to be able to make them. DS1 was talking about being an astronaut, and DS2 I have no idea. He's finally old enough to choose, and I'm sure it'll be something crazy.
Costco has them out already. We bought DS a Spider-Man costume there last year and I was impressed with the quality. Anyway, he picked iron Spider-Man (no idea what that is) and DD picked Cinderella. She was already on the princess train, but he was leaning towards Captain Hook before.
We just "inherited" a bunch of dress up clothes. Toddler loves them. My plan is to just let her dig in the bin and whatever she puts on will be her outfit.
I love Halloween, but I don't get too wrapped in costumes. My mom also made us just dig around/use what we had and it was so much more fun for us than something totally elaborate and thought out months in advance.
I haven't decided if I'll put DS in something or not, since we probably won't be doing anything special for halloween. He might just wear a skeleton t-shirt that day.
I'm thinking of making him a taco, since that's his nickname (long story). I'm all about originality though and can't decide.

DD wants to be a fairy (not sure exactly what kid of fairy). DS keeps changing his mind. First he wanted to be an astronaut, then he wanted to be a shark, now he wants to be a wolf or a dragon.
I asked DD and she told me she wants to be Rapunzel. I thought about making DS Pascal but he saw an ewok costume and got excited. DH thinks that DS should be an ewok now. We still have some time to figure it out. I refused to think about costumes until I was done back to school shopping and I want less time for DD to change her mind. I'll give the kids a few more weeks to decide.
Halloween is NBD here (no party at school, no ToT, maybe just and candy giving thing at the mall) and is almost exclusively centered on witches, mosnters, and such, so I don't worry much about those costumes
I got DS a glow in the dark long-sleeved skeleton Tshirt last year on sale after halloween so if it fits he'll wear that to the mall, in that case I'll just draw a skeleton chest on a black shirt for DD so they'll match; otherwise they'll both can wear the devil horns and tails we have in our costumes chest from previous years
For Carnival we go all out, but we still have 7 months left before that!
DD already has an adorable pink pirate costume that my mom found on clearance last year. DS has no idea what he wants to be. He's already been a pirate, but he might want to do it again to match his sister. He's really into race cars, so a driving suit might be an option.

I still have not decided. I am thinking a kitty, ladybug or this...
