Does anyone have any insight as to how the baby is covered on health insurance after birth? I should add that I'm in Florida and mom can sign after 48 hours. However I'm under the impression finalization won't happen for another 30 days or more. How is the baby covered for routine doctors appointments until then?
Blessed with 2 amazing little boys. One grew in my tummy and the other my heart.

Re: Insurance
You can contact your insurance company, or your company's HR department, and they will set it up for you. Usually as long as they have the preliminary adoption paperwork, they'll immediately cover your LO.
We adopted DD after she was already born. We got The Call on a Thursday, took her home Friday, and she had her first appointment Monday. Everything was covered from there on, even though her adoption wasn't finalized for 7 months.
