Yay! We also have a new sitter. Before we got maybe a half a second before he peetered over to the side lol. Now he can go a couple of minutes unassisted, and tends to only lose his balance if he is reaching for something.
Oona has been trying her hand at sign language! She now beats her chest when she wants something and maybe she is trying to sign milk (I have been signing it to her -along with diaper- since two months) as she is also waving with one hand that kind of looks like "milk". Its like the ASL version of baby babble! She also reaches for us if she wants to be picked up.
She's slowly working on the sitting thing. Its better every day, along with grabbing/hand-eye co-ordination and progress towards crawling. It seems like every tummy time I whip out the camera like "today's the day!" Nope, just getting a little closer day by day.
Emmett has been reaching very intently for me for the past few weeks :-) he's also sitting unassisted for a few mins at a time along with standing holding onto things ( and me or DH holding onto him of course) he absolutely hates being on his tummy (he instantly rolls right onto his back), so no working on crawling here at all. And most recently -he started giving me "baby kisses", you know, the open mouthed slobbery kind lol. Which melts my heart every time I get one!!! He just started this on Friday- he was standing at his activity mat and I was sitting behind him holding his waist, when out of nowhere, he turned his body toward me and planted one on my cheek. I checked with my girlfriends to see if what he did was considered a baby kiss and they confirmed it for me. :-) love it! Oh- and no teeth yet, thank god!
