Food Allergy

Anyone had success after 1 year giving LO milk?

We figured out LO had a milk allergy issue at 2 months. After 6 months of BFing we switched completely to Allimentum to a happier baby and mom. He is now 10 months. We've started more finger food and having been giving him pancakes with milk baked in them and he's been able to eat those fine. We tried some soy formula the other day and that did not go well. He threw it up. We tried a milk based formula and he only had mucus in his stool (we only did half new formula half old formula both times weeks in between). We have not tried cheese or yogurt yet, and are waiting until we talk to the pedi again. He is completely still on Allimentum. Has anyone had success switching their LOs to milk, cheese, and other dairy? Just curious if we are starting to outgrow this, or if he just does well with items with milk cooked rather than regular dairy items.

  • Our dd1 outgrew hers around 14 months

  • Not here. At 2 yrs old her blood test results came back low for milk so my allergist did a challenge in the office with milk. After the 1st teaspoon she was "presumed anaphylactic to milk". Hope you have better luck!
On another note, in the past couple months she can tolerate SOME baked milk products. She had a cookie with baked milk product and after 1 bite told me her tongue tickled and she got hives. It was scary, so she's def not outgrowing that anytime soon!
