T&Ps please (mild freak out)

This weekend was supposed to be a great weekend getaway to go to a wedding of one of DH's best friends from HS. We went with DH's family and it was a complete clusterfuck of drama and ridiculousness (but that's a whole 'nother year and a half long story) which means it was very stressful for me. Add to that, I started bleeding on Saturday, and still bleeding today.

Called my OB this weekend, (on the plus side, my actual OB was the doc on call, so that was helpful) and told her what was happening. She asked about amount of bleeding and the color and cramping. My "bleeding" was more like heavy spotting and was about half brown and half pink, (If you remember, I have an SCH) and I had light to medium cramping. She told me to go to the hospital if the bleeding got heavier or if it turned red or the cramping got worse.

DH was freaking out the entire time, (meanwhile his family were being total assholes so we didn't tell them what was going on) and insisted on running me to the hospital, but we JUST felt our LO move and kick us on Friday night, so I'm trying to keep positive thoughts. With an SCH I know I have an additional risk of a miscarriage, but have had 3 great U/S so far.

My OB wants me to call her on Monday and let her know the status of everything, and I'm just hoping that it goes back to being just brown, or more hopefully just stops all together. She does want me to come in ASAP for another U/S to check on everything, but the earliest I can get in (due to work), is Friday.

I have a feeling this week is going to drag by very slowly.

(Thank you for letting me get that out, I don't want to tell family / friends about this, bc I don't want to worry anyone, so you ladies are all I have!)

I am so sorry you are going through this. I had bleeding at 16.5 weeks. I had to wait through a weekend as well before I could see a doctor (longest weekend ever). The dr. did an ultrasound and everything was great. I hope you get some answers and reassurance soon.

Thank you ladies - she told me to take it extra easy and to try to relax (like that's even possible!), so I'm trying to do just that.

T&Ps that it's just normal harmless (but irritating) SCH symptoms. Hopefully the US shows that your LO is doing great.

I'm 17 weeks too, and had the same thing happen in the middle of a seminar Friday! I freaked too! My Dr office said bed rest all weekend and come in today....Fingers crossed for us both!!

Seriously, you women are amazing. The doc moved me to an earlier appointment on Friday and told me to try to be as much on Bestest as is possible with my job (a nanny to a crawling 8 month old).
I'm thinking the family drama stress this past weekend may have contributed somewhat, and I'm trying not tel let my mind wander to dark places.

I bled for almost 2 straight weeks at the end of my first trimester. I thought for sure I was going to lose it. It was heavy bleeding (in my mind... filling a full pad every 4-6 hours), and bright red with tiny clots. I was scared out of my mind. Turns out I had an OUTRAGEOUSLY bad UTI and bladder infection. I will send lots of T's and P's your way! Stay calm and positive!
