A part of me is nervous to still... almost like buying anything before your wedding before getting engaged is bad luck. Only thing I just bought yesterday was a pair of booties because we are using them to tell my parent's they are going to be grandparents. I went to buy some pregnancy books on amazon this morning, had them in my cart, then canceled it. I just want to get to that 12 week "safety" zone....

Re: Have you bought anything baby-related yet?
We only really need nursery furniture & decor. We'll need some clothes either way since DS was a winter baby. The car seat & other big items are all gender neutral.
Baby Boy #2 is on the way!
I sincerely doubt I'll buy anything until around 30 weeks.
After 31 cycles, baby boy K (IUI) born 11/03/11
BFP (Femara) - 08/09/13 m/c around 6 weeks. xoxox Baby April
Rainbow baby girl E (Femara) born 11/16/16
I was thinking the same thing. You're just asking to have a house full of boys. Haha I know a lot of people that have all girls and all boys.
be careful, though! when we ordered our nursery furniture, there was a 12 week shipping schedule. we ordered in the mid teens and by the time it arrived, i was starting to sweat it out a bit because i was in my third tri and wanted to get a move on with decorating the room.
i'd think christmas time would be a perfect time to shop for the big stuff... that's enough time to account for shipping delays, but late enough that you'd probably already have had the anatomy scan to be sure all is well with the pregnancy.
I bought curtains, a wall hanging and a basket which can be used to decorate either the current spare bedroom or a girls room. I guess the things are not baby specific. They are just a purple floral print and right now the room is all white and plain with just an extra bed in there and no décor at all. You are right that I can't know for sure I will eventually have a girl but I am optimistic that I will. We plan on having a large family (hopefully not as large as ten) but I think the odds are good one of them will be a girl! If we have another boy then he will share the room I have my son in because it is plenty big and we will keep the spare room for guests like we do now. All my husbands family live out of state anyhow and it is nice to have that spare room when they come and stay!Since telling my mom at week 5..she has already been out buying baby clothes...she buys both girl and boy stuff lol....she says if its a girl she will just return the boy clothes or keep them for later down the road when I have another baby or one of my brother or sister does lol..she's crazy..and really excited
i'm now at 6 weeks...so she's bought alot of stuff within one week lol
