We are fast approaching my due date and I had hoped that we had names (team green) for this lo but DH wasn't sold. Names are difficult because we live in the netherlands but all my family is in the US so we have to consider how and if names will be pronounced in both places.
DS and DD's names are Martijn Lukas (Mar-tEYEn) and Marije Elisa (Mar-EYE-ah). I didn't really want to do the double M but we loved Marije when I was pregnant with DS and really wanted to use it. However I really don't want another M name.
We like Thijs (T-Eye-s) but it is really popluar here and similar to a shortend version of DS's name so I think it would be confusing. Then we thought of going with Noah Thijs but Noah is pretty popular in both countries and I'm not sure I love it. I really like Sebastian (pronounced the english way and not the similar dutch name that is spelled a bit different) which I would like to pair with Avery with the A to honor DH's father. But DH isn't sure if he wants an english name.

This is basicly the dilema woth a girls name too. I like Kyla Anne. MN again honoring DH's father but it is more of an american name and DH isn't so sure. I in turn can't find a dutch name that I like that can be pronounced by my family. Other names on my girl list are Alyssa Mae and K-eye-ra Anne (although this might be a made up name as all the spellings I can find are pronounced Kira).
I have looked on most websites I know about and have 3 dutch name books and can't find anything. I am stumped. Our Last name is Visser. What do you all like and do you have any suggestions as to how to find a name we both like? sorry this is a book!
