I had cramps in the beginning so they can be normal. I also got really bad cramps/gas pains early on depending on what I ate. I couldn't eat anything with tomato for the first 3 months or I would wake up doubled over in pain at night.
Definitely talk to your doctor if you have bleeding, feel like something is wrong or are just worried. Trust me they get a million questions from pregnant women especially if its a first time pregnancy. Don't ever feel bad asking question or calling with concerns. It's their job,
