Childbirth / Childcare class recs?

I'm looking into the classes offered by St. Joe's (Ann Arbor), but have heard that sometimes hospital classes are not as good as private ones.  Anyone have experience with the classes offered by St. Joe's health system (I'm looking at childbirth education, infant care, and breastfeeding preparation), or know of local ones that might be better?  I'd prefer to stay in the Livonia / Plymouth / Westland / Canton area if possible (if I end up taking classes through the hospital, I will likely do the ones offered at St. Mary's in Livonia).  Thanks!
