? for those who buy $tree tests

My $tree doesn't have pg tests on the shelf, you have to get a little piece of paper from the shelf and take it to the register to get the test.

So...when you're buying 5 tests do you bring up 5 slips of paper or just 1 paper and ask for 5?

Last time I was horrified...

I'm 27 and I still feel weird buying PG test. I can't help you, as here they have them on the shelf. Good luck. Are you going to wait until Friday or Saturday?

I feel like a teenager who is all nervous and embarrassed! My $ tree keeps them up at the checkout so i just toss it on the belt like its gum or something...lol

I'd imagine one paper would do.

I picked up my laundry yesterday, which is right next to a Dollar Tree. I thought about going in to pick some up and chickened out. Why?!? There's such a stigma about buying them.

Yeah my $tree keeps them behind the counter, they do get stolen, I can't believe from a $ store but who wants to pay $15 to pee on something?

I would take up 1 sheet and if they want the other four they can go get them!

ours is the same, and if you want five, you have to take up five slips. The man behind the counter was very chatty about how often they are stolen and was quizzing me on how much the more expensive ones are (he was shocked to learn they were $15-ish a pop!).

I think it's just that whole thing of people looking at you, knowing your having sex and coming up with all kinds of stuff in their head. They are probably assuming either your a whore, or thinking who the hell would get you pregnant, or just assuming its a scare. Not that your actually planning it with your husband and are just to cheap to pay the big bucks. Most people assume if your buying a HPT your pregnant and only need one!

The first dollar tree I went to they had them behind the counter and I chickened out. Now I've discovered the one by my work has them in the checkout line. Thank goodness. It was way too embarrassing for me to go up to the counter, but if I had to I would take 5 sheets of paper. That way I might not have to talk to them.

I still don't get why any married adult woman (or unmarried for that matter) would be embarrassed about buying an HPT.

Yeah, you're obviously having sex. Under that thought, would they then be embarrassed about a pregnancy bump? About their future children? I'm betting not. So why feel that way about an HPT?

I am going to try to hold out until Saturday. Really I should probably wait until Sunday. If it made sense I'd test tomorrow LOL

that's what I did last time and I was mollified. I was like "um, I brought up 5 slips of paper because I actually want 5 tests (pause) I'm sorry."

i'm not embarassed to buy 1 test. 5 tests make me embarassed. But it's either that or drive there every night to get one for the next day LOL

I am not embarrased at all to but them. BUT I will say that the one time I bought $ store test they did have them behind the cash register so you had to ask the cashier for one. Well, just so happened my cashier looked all of 16 and was PG....she rambles on about how she was not on BC, but never knew it would happen...so it was a total spectical in the freakin dollar store!
