AW: I feel liberated

Went out to lunch with the ILs and poor DS was cranky and hungry, so put him in his baby carrier, put the nursing cover on, and fed him while eating my fajitas. It went so smoothly and I'm glad I got over my fear of BFing in public. :)

Re: AW: I feel liberated

  • Good for you!  I wish either of my kids were ever focused on the task at hand enough to NIP easily!  I do it but it's generally a pain with the on/off/on/off/on/off look around, grab things, spit milk everywhere...

  • NIP + babywearing + eating.  Rockstar!
  • I am past the NIP stage, but headed out with DH and the boys (aka his friends), so I will have a few to drink.
  • Ah we never got the nursing in the carrier down. I wore DS in a Moby and I'll be damned if every time I tried to bf with him in there he would be like suffocating or falling or just be really uncomfortable. Good for you though! A lot of times the only way I could eat a peaceful meal was if DS was nursing at the same time :)
  • I'm hoping to get coordinated enough to do this one day. Maybe when ds can hold his own head up. As of now I pretty much have to have my clothes half off and 5 hands to get him on and stsy on.

  • Love it! I did it in a restaurant once while my husband fed me my fries. It was just the two of us, though, no IL's - good for you!
