All the potty training talk got me convinced that DS was ready, but I was being lazy. Decided to start the three day method because that's what worked well with DS 1. Long story short...he pooped in the front yard. Nbd, but I went out to clean it up right away. (Obviously...I mean, gross!) The neighbor lady is getting her mail as I search for the poo in the should-have-been mowed a week ago grass. She comes to say hi as I finally find it and makes a remark as to how big my "dogs" poop pile was. Instead of just leeeeting it go....I reply, for an unknown reason, "well, this is my sons!" She makes some sort of choking acknowledgment noise, and turns around to walk home....lord. Really?! I couldn't just have let it be the dog's fault? Gah, I'm embarrassed.

I feel like someone comments on my dog's poop every time they see him. "Well, hey there! Rather large dog you got, huh? Must have real large shits!" It's odd.
