Sleeping arrangements

Just curious to see where other moms are as far as it comes to sleeping arrangements.

How old is your LO?
Where are they sleeping?-PnP, RnP, crib, etc.
Where are they located?- Your bedroom, their nursery, etc.

Also, do they sleep swaddled or un-swaddled?

My LO just turned 15 weeks and transitioning to the crib seems to be a bit difficult. The baby monitor keeps me up all night because our LO is a very noisy sleeper!

Re: Sleeping arrangements

  • 4 1/2 months, in his crib in the nursery since about day 5. We stopped swaddling his arms in a few days ago with success. I also couldn't sleep with the monitor. DH keeps it on his side of the bed and I wear earplugs and use a fan. It works for us. :)

  • LO will be 4 months on Tuesday.

He starts out in the crib, but sleeps in bed with us after the first feeding.

The crib is in our bedroom.

He sleeps un-swaddled, and has since just a few days old.

  • Just turned 4 months sleeps in her crib since 3 months. Our crib is in the bedroom, and she never liked the swaddle so we have never swaddled. During her middle of the night feed I lay her down with me and she sleeps the rest of the night in bed with me.
  • My daughter is four months old. She sleeps in her arms reach co'sleeper in our room in her magic sleep suit. Every time I think about moving her to her crib, she starts waking up for night feedings again. I will probably move her to her crib in a month or so (by the time she is six months old).
  • Baby boy is 15 weeks old.
He sleeps in an RnP in our bedroom for now. We're going on vacation next week and taking the RnP with us. We've wait to try switching him to the nursery until we get back.
He has started to sleep unswaddled in the last couple of weeks.

  • LO is 4 months and starts the night in his swing then we bring upstairs to his crib in our room. He's still swaddled, we're having a terrible time trying transition him out of swaddling. Going to the states in a few weeks may order the magic sleep suit and just cold turkey the swaddling and swing.

  • 4 months tomorrow and moving to her crib (and starting sleep training) tomorrow. She's still in the swing and has been sleeping like crap anyway, so it's time.

DS sleeps unswaddled in his crib in his own room and it's glorious!

Turn the monitor down and get some rest :-) believe me, if LO needs you, you'll know. Sometimes I get up to pee at 4 or 5 am and hear DS rustling around in his crib, but he always goes back to sleep just fine on his own. This is why I'm so glad that he sleeps in his own room.

Eta: DS is about a week shy of 4 months but has been sleeping in his crib since he was maybe a week old.

  • LO is 4.5 months.  He's been sleeping in his crib in his room for the past few weeks, unswaddled since 6 weeks.  He had been in his RnP in his room since 4 weeks.  The switch to the crib took a few failed attempts, and I just caught DH letting him nap in the RnP when he was being really fussy, so its a work in progress!

  • DD is 14.5 weeks.  She has slept in her crib since week 2.  We started not swaddling a few weeks ago and didn't affect her at all.  She is seriously spoiling us - normally sleeps from 8:30,9:00PM-ish - 8:00 AM.  It's worked so far - (fingers crossed)

  • B is 4 1/2 months, he sleeps In the Co Sleeper in our room unswaddled

  • All crib all the time. Unswaddled. Never swaddled actually. He will be four months on the 21st.
  • Almost four months. Sleep sack in her crib in her room. She likes to sleep on her side.
My DH keeps the monitor on his side and is a light sleeper so it's taken him some time to adjust to her sounds.

  • 4.5 months in his crib since like 3 weeks old his crib is in my room and he is sleeping from about 8:30 to 7 we are very lucky
  • 3.5 months, sleeping in his crib and in his own room since 2 days old, slept swaddled until he was about 8 weeks old (he was swaddled just with a blanket) when he not only kept breaking free but would turn 180 in his sleep. Once he started moving like that in his sleep it was over.
  • We were co-sleeping right up until two weeks ago. We transitioned her to her crib in her own room, and her PnP for daytime naps, about two weeks ago. I have to say it was harder for me than it was for her. I think I am very lucky as DD did not mind the transition, and now sleeps longer at night in her own room than she did beside me... Go figure. Also, she hated being swaddled since birth, which I am kind of glad for now as she is not bothered at all having her arms loose in the crib.
  • B is just over four months old and sleeps in bed with us as she has from day one (firm mattress, no extra pillows, no comforter or blankets just a sheet). We've never swaddled her. We were planning on side-caring her crib, but haven't done it yet. I'd like to do it sooner than later because she's kinda a thrasher during the night, but my husband is dragging his feet because the she won't be next to him anymore and he'll miss her. Very sweet, but he's not the one being woken up to nurse and then again by being kicked :)

  • 4 months. Pnp in our bedroom, swaddled. He's still up four or five times overnight...no way I'm trekking to his room that many times

  • Jackson is 15 weeks. Sleeps swaddled in his pak n play in our room. We started to put him in his crib, but he only makes it about half the night. So we are working on it. He loves to be swaddled. I've tried not swaddling and he wakes up constantly. Was thinking of getting magic suit to transition, it I'm going to give it a little more time to see if we can go cold turkey.

  • B is 17 weeks. She sleeps unswaddled (since about 6 weeks old - never liked her arms swaddled) in her crib in her room (since day 1). We decided to have her in her own room/crib right away to avoid having to transition.  The first weeks were tough with all of the MOTN feedings.  Around 5 weeks, I began EPing & bottle feeding her - she woke up 1-2 times per night.. at 10 weeks, she began sleeping thru the night (asleep around 8p, awake around 6:30a).

Kudos & good luck to all you moms working on transitioning your LO's!

  • Connor is 4 months old.

When I had to stay at my inlaws he slept next to me during the night, in his PnP for naps. Right now at my mom's visiting he is sleeping next to me if I am on the couch or floor. When I go back on the 20th my house will be done... so Connor will finally have his own room.

He is almost always swaddled... since being born he has loved it.

4 months. Right now she naps in her crib in her room and spends the night in her pack & play in our room. I'm seriously considering transitioning her to her crib at night. Biggest change would be having her on a different floor than us - our room is on the main floor and her room is upstairs. She usually still wakes once during the night.

ETA: She has been unswaddled since around 8 weeks. Little girl loves stretching those arms and legs out.

LO will be 4 months on the 24th. He has slept in his crib in his room since he came home. I really didn't think I wanted to do that right away but he loves his crib and goes down for naps and nighttime very easily. He sleeps swaddled with his arms out.

  • Aidan will be 4 months on Friday.  He sleeps in his crib in his nursery and in a wearable blanket (Halo Sleepsack.)  We just transitioned him out of the RnP and out of the swaddle.

  • Almost 4 months: She has been in her crib in the nursery since about 6 weeks. She is unswaddled as she never liked it past the first week or so. She still naps mostly in her swing.

  • How old is your LO? A few days shy of 4 months
Where are they sleeping? In my bed
Where are they located? In my bedroom

Also, do they sleep swaddled or un-swaddled? She sleeps in a woombie

I will probably start putting DD in her crib in our room soon. I am waiting on my son's twin bed to be delivered so he can get out of the crib. May start sleep training depending on how it goes. Tried a few weeks ago, she was not ready and neither was I.

  • He's been in his own nursery in a crib since about 7-8 weeks.  No issues.  He wears a wearable blanket now (Halo), but we swaddled until he started rolling a couple of weeks ago.  He is 19 weeks.

LO will be four months next Saturday. He moved to a crib at two and a half months old, in his own room.

Eta: he is swaddled with his arms out and has been since about one month old.
  • DD is 15 weeks and sleeps in our room in her RnP. She hasn't been swaddled since week 6 or 7. We will be moving her into her own room in her crib in the next few weeks.
  • 4 months old. Been sleeping in his crib since month 1. Just stopped swaddling.

  • 4 months on Thur. Been sleeping in crib (in own room) unswaddled since 12 wks. She comes in bed with me around 5-6 when she's really restless and won't settle.
  • 15 weeks tomorrow, he sleeps in his RnP next to our bed, he still wakes up 2 or 3 times for MOTN feedings.

No swaddle, he never was, never liked it.

going to try the crib transition soon, getting the miracle suit this week in the mail.

  • Rylee is 4 months today. she has slept in her bassinet since she was one month. I never swaddled her though. Her bassinet is right next to my bed. She sleeps through the night thankfully
  • Emma will be 4 mo old next week, she's been sleeping in her RnP since the day we came home from the hospital, right next to my side of the bed. She's been STTN since she was about 2 weeks old, so I'm scared to transition to her crib since her RnP is totally working for us....

She never slept good when she was flat on her back, didn't like the bassinet in the hospital or at home... so I was thinking eventually we are going to put the PnP in our room to see how she does with that and then eventually move her to her room. I don't feel I'm quite ready either...

She also has been sleepign swaddled with arms out since the day we came home from the hospital... Sometimes we don't even swaddle her (on hotter nights) we just tuck a blanket all around her and she seeps pretty soundly all night.

  • DS will be 4 months on Friday. He sleeps in his crib in our room in a Magic Merlin Sleep Suit at night. We co-slept for a while and then tried him in the swing for a few weeks, then transitioned to the crib on July 24th. He still wakes up twice a night, unfortunately. We are trying to get him to nap in the crib too but that is not going well at all. He naps in the Ergo in the mornings while I walk the dogs and then in the afternoons he does best if I lie down in the bed with him.

We do a bedtime routine with both DDs and DD2 goes down unswaddled in the PNP in our room. We bedshare after the first night nursing session typically. I love those snuggles!
    ETA: She's 4 months tomorrow.
