So nauseated...

I could use a little support. I'm 9.5 weeks along and I am so incredibly nauseated...All the time! I'm on Zofran and have used sea bands, had ginger ale etc etc etc. It's making life quite miserable and honestly it's making me depressed. Anyone else in the same boat? Just want to commiserate, that's all. :)

Re: So nauseated...

  • I am as well! Just over 8 weeks. I haven't gotten sick, just feel nauseous all the time. And exhausted. Unfortunately- carbs and greasy foods make it go away temporarily... Wish I could find some magic way to feel better! Have you changed your prenatal vitamins?

  • I am feeling the same way. I just started a B-6 vitamin, I heard it takes a few days to start working so we'll see!

Is anyone having success with the sea bands?

  • Same here. Throwing up in the morning but mostly in the evening. I hardly drink all day cause it makes me sick. I just increased my B6 and have zofran waiting. Sea band do not work for me. This is my second. I was sick until week 17 with the first. I just keep telling myself it'll be over soon, count down the weeks. Today was a glimmer of hope as I actually ate a real lunch. I hope it gets better for you.

  • Sea bands suck, zofran sucks, gingerale sucks! Wah! Yes, I'm in the nausea/vomiting boat, it's terrible and I've found nothing to ease it. Sorry, wish I had a helpful answer for you!
  • I'm thanking God that the Zofran is mostly working for me! I don't know what I would have done without it! Same here with the greasy food and carbs. I went about two weeks not eating much of anything and when I did eat it certainly wasn't any where near nutritious. I tried ginger supplements and stuff too and they only seemed to make it worse. I sure hope you ladies feel better soon!!!
  • Me. I feel like crap. We are on vacation with DHs family up in the mountains and I'm miserable. Nothing seems to work and one med my RE insists I keep taking I feel is making it worse. It takes me an hour to psych myself up to take it every evening. I feel so weak and dehydrated! DH keeps asking if I need to go to the hospital. Right now I'm laying in the bedroom trying not to puke while everyone else is eating dinner. Completely sucks!!!

  • I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and I e been dealing with nausea since 5.5 weeks. I'm getting so frustrated because I feel awful all of the time and am so exhausted on top of it! I got ginger pills today so we will see how that works. It is comforting to know others are got through the same thing!

  • Oh yes! I'm miserable. Morning is bad, but nighttime is terrible. I just tried to eat dinner (first time in days that I haven't just eaten some goldfish for dinner) and I already puked my guts up. I can usually get something down for lunch, although not much. I eat a granola bar and coca-cola for breakfast. Dinner?? Goldfish. Zofran didn't work. Phenergan is what I have now... It works by putting me to sleep, but sleeping is better than severe nausea! I've learned to throw up quite well over the last 3 weeks...
  • I was just on the couch in tears to dh....and getting upset now makes me dry heave. I can't win, mine is 24/7 and relentless. All I eat is wonton soup and crackers...I'm keeping our local Chinese resturant in business !

  • Happy to commiserate. I'm nauseated almost constantly and throw up at least 2-3x a day. It's a gorgeous Saturday outside (I'm in Australia and we're ahead), and I'm laying in bed just trying to keep it together.

Thank goodness we get a baby out if this, or I'd be writing a very sternly worded letter to someone! :)

  • Yay, I feel like I am recovering from the flu everyday. Every few days I just start sobbing because I just want a break from the nausea. Hang in there! I was sick for 16wk with the first, 26wk with the second... I'm hoping the nausea and misery stops around 12 weeks, I would like to eat a salad one time during this pregnancy! Pregnancy can be really hard for some people. Sorry.
  • I'm right there with you! Doc said it should start getting better after 10 weeks. Tuesday can't come fast enough!

  • So glad I'm not alone. I read each and every one of your posts and I feel so bad you all have to face this. I honestly don't think I'd wish these feelings on my worst enemies. The worst is after I take my prenatal vitamin and burp up that awful
Fish taste later...gives me the hate shivers. I tried to explain how I'm feeling to my all male group of co-workers: "imagine the worst hangover you've ever had and now make that hangover last 5 weeks straight..." I think they're starting to get it.
  • I'm in the same boat..,, the nausea is making me crazy. We haven't told anyone that I'm pregnant yet, and am afraid to go anywhere bc I'm gagging like crazy. My 10 year old keeps thinking I'm sick, and has now given up feeling bad and just laughs as I'm heaving! The dr put me on a new prenatal, but I'm having a hard time staying awake to take the last dose which is the b6. My fiancé is tired of hearing me complain, and frankly I'm tired of feeling like crap every day. I told him that he should try carrying the twins....
  • I've been so sick. I totally am feeling depressed. It's so discouraging. I'm so happy to be pregnant but have not had a chance to enjoy it because of the nausea. I am at week 10 tomorrow and feel better but only a little relief. I am ready to feel myself again. I hear by week 13.
  • yes i feel the same way. phenergan and chimes ginger chews are the only things that really work for me. I LOVE chimes. they have been a lifesaver

  • Bellaband is pretty awesome. It is non-medicated, but you need a dr to prescribe.

Last time I took 2 Zofran and though I felt better in the moment, the constipating effect wasn't worth it. There are other meds out there rated and made for PG without that horrible s/e.

MS sucks, but it does go away. You are getting towards the end!

  • I'm pretty much sick all day and the only things I can eat are crap. It sucks. Plus, I am crazy so if I fee ok for an hour or so, then I start worrying something is wrong with the baby. I can't win :(

  • I'm 8wks, and ugh! Have had a rough week fighting nausea. I haven't thrown up yet but gagged many times. Hard to get anything else done, and I'm terrified to eat - also terrified not to eat.

  • Currently huffing on peppermint tea to keep nausea at bay. I feel like those people who sniff glue. And I look weird. But it's working better than those sea bands. They only work for me if I break from wearing them for a while. Blah!
