How many weeks are you? 39! So excited! What fruit? Watermelon.
Any appointments? Had one on Tuesday, nothing exciting. I denied the cervical check and we discussed methods of getting baby out if I am not able to do it naturally (vacuum, forceps, C-section). Changes? No changes. Baby's still head down and ready to go! I'm still getting quite a few BH but nothing else pointing towards labor starting.
How are you feeling? Pretty darn good, actually. I am still sleeping VERY well, which is a huge blessing. And I'm able to poop every day. *grin*
What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? Not much, actually! I'm pretty much ready to go!
How long is your maternity leave? One month. I wish it was longer, but we can't have me out of work for that long due to finances. I'll only be working 3 days a week when I go back, though.
1. 38 weeks finally! 2. On Thursday when I'm pretty much 39 weeks is my 38 week visit. 3. No changes at all except sleeping even less now. 4. Feeling crappy thanks to a bad head cold that I hope will disappear before labor starts and baby arrives. 5. Nothing left to prepare. We are ready and waiting! 6. As long as I need. Being a massage therapist I make my own schedule so I will be going back when I feel I physically can.
Any appointments? Changes? I was dilated 1cm at my last appointment, which i know doesn't mean much. Also, TMI time, but I had a change in my discharge to being very watery, which happened a few days before I went into labor with DS1, so naturally i was happy to see this change. Hoping this is my body's signal that labor will start soon.
How are you feeling? I actually feel pretty good. LO was transverse for a while, which was causing me awful back pain. Since he's flipped the pain has been gone. The worst symptom right now is just the overwhelming fatigue I feel throughout the day, so bad I need to sit down and catch my breath doing simple tasks. And also the general discomfort of being so pregnant.
What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? nothing- we are ready!!
How long is your maternity leave? I am on semi-maternity leave now, working about 5 hours a week. I will take one month completely off, then hopefully go back to this schedule for the second month, and then fully back after 8 weeks. I only work about 15 hours a week spread over 2.5 days, so it's not too bad, but i do want as much time as possible to not have to think about work... unfortunately I do not get paid for leave.
How many weeks are you? What fruit? 38 weeks!
Any appointments? Changes? I have weekly appts on Wednesdays. I'm 3cm and 70% effaced.
How are you feeling? I'm ready to meet this little girl!!
What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? NOTHING!! yay!! We just secured daycare this week so everything is ready to go.
How long is your maternity leave? 12 weeks. They want me to come back in 10 but I'm probably still going to take 12.
At my appt yesterday I was 90% effaced and 3 cm which could mean squat!!!
I feel awful. Very tired. 4 hrs of sleep last night,
We have a car seat appt today in 45 min then we are done with the to do list. Thanks Jill for the reminder on last weeks ticker!
I'm taking 12 weeks leave. Can't wait!! First break from work since college as I went to grad school 6 years And then entered my career. I'm ready!!!! (though I realize it's not s break per se!!!)
Okay, this is a day late.. but better than never right?
How many weeks are you? What fruit? 37
Any appointments? Changes? Two weeks ago was 1cm and 50% effaced, but Monday I was closed and high. Next appointment on Monday but I'm going to skip the internal this time.
How are you feeling? Pretty good now that I stopped working. I felt pretty guilty leading up to the decision, but I now think it was the right choice. I need a lot more down time and a daily nap which I can now have.
What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? Finish the nursery (hopefully this weekend), pull out the we born stuff from #1, and spend as much time with #1 as possible.
How long is your maternity leave? I can take 8.5 weeks with full pay (disability + pto). If I need more we may be able to work something out. DH is a SAHD so finances may get tight.
How many weeks are you? What fruit? 37 weeks a winter melon or some such
Any appointments? Changes? Weekly NST went fine and saw one of the good OBs so I was switched to Heparin. Due to cramping checked my cervix and its actually a fingertip which bodes well for the medically necessary induction I am likely to need. BTW cervical checks hurt like a mother effer. So happy I only see my favorite OB from here on out.
How are you feeling? Pretty good besides the massive heartburn, low back cramps and wadling due to pelvic issues.
What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? Labor playlist, thank you gifts for nurses, work on baby scrapbook
How long is your maternity leave? I am very happy to be able to become a stay at home mom now.
Update: Went to OB for 38w appt yesterday, where I was 3cm dilated and fully effaced. Since the next step was active labor and I am an RCS, across the street to L&D I went. DD was born at 12:59pm, weighing 7lb, 8 oz, and measuring 20 inches. We're both doing well, and are going home Monday afternoon!
How many weeks are you? What fruit? 36 Weeks, HoneydewAny appointments? Changes? Last appointment, I was 2 cm dilated. This week lost my mucus plug and started having contractions last night. Hoping they go away for awhile longer. How are you feeling? Feeling crappy! Today was my day off without the kids around, so I could do last minute things, but with the contractions and felling tired and achy, not sure how much I will get done. What do you still have to get done to prepare for LO's arrival? Everything! We already have 2 kids, so we pretty much everything we need, but nothing is clean and organized and it's driving me nuts! How long is your maternity leave? 6-8 weeks, but I have FMLA if I decide to use that too

Wow, congratulations! This happened to my Mom. She went in for her checkup and was already at 8cm and fully effaced, so off to L&D she went! Man, I hope I'm as lucky as you ladies.
39 weeks!
Went to dr Friday...she said I am soft, effaced, dilated to where she could get one finger through and could touch baby's heads because it is so low! So yes, things are changing but I'm not getting my hopes up...
Feeling really crappy....totally exhausted and can't sleep. Can't even find a good position on the couch to just rest. The only thing that doesn't hurt is just standing up...very frustrating.
I don't have anything led to do...lets get this show on the road!
I'm taking all three months for leave and cannot wait!
