Hand Foot & Mouth - and Pregnancy

Hi All,

My son was diagnosed with HF&M yesterday...but I am told he's on the tail end of it, and was actually allowed back in daycare today. IF I am pregnant, is that an issue? I actually don't know if I am or not (did IVF and have a beta test this coming Monday). I plan to call my MD and ask them, but curious if anyone here has experience. Also wasn't sure what board to post on.

    My daughter got it while I was pregnant.  My OB said it wasn't a real risk to me or the baby.

    I was pregnant with DD when DS contracted Hand, Foot, Mouth (what a nightmare!!). I contacted my doc and she told me to look out for signs I may be contracting it and hand washing. She wasn't too concerned.

    My son had it when I just found out I was pregnant.. Around 5 or 6 weeks. No big deal. From what I remember, it's very rare for an adult to really get HFM so there isn't much of a risk. I would obviously contact your doctor if you started showing any signs.
