I am so engorged!!! It feels like every duct is clogged. DH is getting me cabbage today and I am pumping a bit every few hours for comfort. It is sad to dump it though. Its also sad that I can't comfortably hold LO for the pain. I am trying to enjoy how chesty I look because I am expecting raisins in a few days.
Anyway, I am open to any other advice on how to dry up quickly. Weaning is such an emotional rollercoaster

Take a decongestant, sudafed or something.

I've also heard that it helps to wrap them in something... someone told me ace bandages. But I would be afraid that would worsen clogged ducts. So I'd stick with the decongestant and cabbage leaves. And when you can tone it down to hand expressing.

It took me six weeks to wean, so I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be!! I also used my period to help since it dropped my supply. Ice packs helped on those rough days and cabbage compresses were good too. When you pump, just do it for comfort and slowly cut down on the time you pump. Try to keep heat off your breasts, so try not to let shower water get them or take less warm showers. Once I got over the hump, I found the warmth to be soothing, but it's not so great in the beginning since it tells your milk to let down.

The worst of it doesn't last for long. I'm so sorry you are uncomfortable!!
