Bravado Essential Nursing Tank?

For STM+ who nursed... while we are on the topic of nursing bras/clothes today figure I will ask this.

Is this tank worth the $50/top?  I am very small, like AA cup pre-pregnancy, and now I think I'm closer to an A.  I hate bras... being so small chested I just really find anything with underwire uncomfortable and wear mostly sports type bras for comfort whenever I can.  I did buy 2 of the seamless Bravado bras and 2 of the sleeping Bravado bras for nursing cause they were on a great sale from Gap, but I feel like nursing tanks might be more my speed.  I just can't seem to get past the $50 price tag per top!  Gap doesn't have my size right now but diapers.com does.

Also, I'm a little concerned because the smallest size is a 34B/C.  Kinda worried that will be wayyyy too big for me.  I'm petite, not quite 5'1 and about 105-110 lb before pregnancy.  I think I was a 32-34 band pre preg and those bras still fit, I just fill out the cup a little better now.  My boobs haven't grown too much.  Any help from you experienced mammas appreciated!

Re: Bravado Essential Nursing Tank?

  • Target has the cheapy version of these (still by Bravado). Think they were $27 each or something. Look online though, I got some and they seem to be good quality and fit

  • Hmmm, thanks for the tip!  The only Bravado nursing tanks I saw on Target's site was the same $49 Essential top...  I did see a few other brands for cheaper and will check the stores near us to see how they feel/fit.  Will keep my eyes peeled and look around more, maybe in September for the next CC bill lol.

  • I am very large busted (36H) and I hated the Bravado tanks because they couldn't keep my breasts separated.  Obviously I was looking for a miracle.  However, the tanks themselves are very high quality with thick fabric, so if you are planning to nurse long-term or have multiple babies I would definitely recommend them as they will definitely hold up.

I think the 34 B/C would probably work for you, as it is fairly likely that your cup size will increase a bit more once your milk comes in.  Maybe you could wait until after LO is born to make sure, and just pick up a couple cheapy Gilligan & O'Malley nursing tanks from Target for the first few postpartum days.

It's the Basics by Bravado Felicity nursing cami...I got it online at Target for $25.99. It does have some ribbing on the side for fit so i wouldn't wear it out of the house on it's own, but the material is super comfy and it fits well!

  • The bravado tanks are worth the money if you are well endowed. If not, i doubt you need to spend the money.
