HCG not quite doubling?

So I had my betas done on Tuesday at 5 wk 3 days and they were at 15,575. When I went in two days later at 5 wk 5 days...they were 25,000. The nurse seemed concerned and they moved up my ultrasound from next Thursday to Monday. I feel so panicked and worried. Of course I've been googling the heck out of it and there are mixed reviews. Some say numbers take 72 hours to double. Anyone have any encouragement?

I know they're required to be extra cautionary, but they sound so ominous over the phone.."take it easy, don't have intercourse, go to the ER if you see blood" as if I'm doomed to miscarry. ;(

Anyways, just wanted to see what others' experiences were. This is my first pregnancy so I honestly don't even know why they're checking HCG, but now I'm out of town for the weekend and worried sick! Also, since the appt got changed, my husband can't come anymore. ;(

I think when the betas reach a certain level they start doubling slower so maybe instead of 48 hours its more like 72 hours.. Anyway your numbers look great! I'm 6 weeks and 11,000 so I think it seems you're progressing really well. Hope it all turns out to be ok

I've heard that they slow slightly when you get pretty high too! Try not to stress. I hope it all turns out great!

Ya, what @cfvonfam said. Your numbers double every 48 hours early on but it does start to slow down. I'm not sure at what point but let's hope at about 5w3d!

They slow down at 1200 so yours are way above that point and take more like at least 72 hours to double from what I've read. Those numbers are really high which is good! Mine were 649 at 4 wks 3 days and 1139 at 4 weeks 5 days. My dr was very happy with that and that's not quite double either. Hoping it turns out well for both of us! I've also been on vacation from the day after I found out the results until this coming Monday so I get that stress.

Mine are 200 at 4 weeks exactly, up from 25 on Monday. I hope it gets as high as yours!

Your numbers sound fine. I'm no expert though bc this is my first. I was 732 at 4w6d and then 3999 at 5w1d. That was last week and I was told that i can move up my u/s if I wanted to so of course I did. DH and I saw a hb today and I am 6w1d. Don't stress.
