Wtf is my bra size if my band size is 34 and the largest point of my boobs is 37.5? I either buy 34d or 36c and I'm not sure which one I'm really supposed to buy.
Go up to 36 and try different brands and cup styles. If you're still spilling out anywhere maybe try a D cup.
I don't get spillover with a c if the band size is 36. If I go to a d I can do my "traditional" band size. I don't know which one is right damnit and I want to shop online. Lol.
Please don't go to VS. The last time I got measured there the girl got pissed off at ME because they didn't have a single bra in the entire store that properly contained my boobs. I left and haven't been back since.

I worked at Macy's in the bra dept...a loooong time ago. If your band size is 34, and your boobs measure 37.5 you would be a 34 D. However, you would also fit into a 36 C if needed. They're pretty interchangeable, but only going up one size on the band and down one in the cup is key.
Bras confuse me too. I go by the sizing charts and I'm a 36 D, but 36 feels so snug (although admittedly I think it's because I'm used to wearing stretched out bras), but I'm also often spilling out over the cups depending on the brand. But then DD seems too big after a few wears. Gah. I'm tired of ill-fitting bras. I KNOW I need to go to a good place and get fitted properly, but I don't wanna %-(
Breakout Bras has a great sizing guide. I've heard several times that they're the best online option for buying bras.
If you have a store that is dedicated to bra fitting, they can really help. There's a place called Tina's Closet that I go to. (It's in Lisle, IL if anyone is near there.)
When I went in I was wearing a 44D and I came out in a 40C! It was shocking that I was wearing my (stretched out) bras so big! The band is supposed to be tight/snug and should bring any "chicken cutlets" on your side boob up to the front where they belong You want it to be that tight on the loosest rung setting.
After I bought my bra there, I went and found 2 more (same brand/type) at Kohls for $25 less/ea. But the fitting is free if you buy one of there overpriced bras
Don't fuck around with the bras. A proper fitting bra changes the way you look and feel. Go to Nordstroms get measured. I woul rather have 3 awesome bras than 10 cheap ones.

No, I have a tape measure at home. I was hoping a current or former vs/Nordstrom worked would tell me my size based on those measurements, lol.

Okay. They usually give you different bras to try on. Really helpful.
Lol
I'm seeing I may have to do this. Drats. Lol. That ruins my online shopping fun.
It's the .5 that is causing the spillover, always go to the next cup size if you're in between.
