Yes Starbucks lady thank you for reminding me that I am very pregnant.
Just got back from getting myself a delicious caramel frapp and the lady asked me if I was sure I wanted caffeine. She could make it for me without the caffeine. When I told her yes I was sure she asked me if it was okay and looked at my huge stomach.
DH immediately looked away knowing I was in no mood for being questioned. I did not say anything but I'm pretty sure after 9 months I know what I can and cannot drink.
I took it to go and it was delicious.

Re: I forgot I am 39 weeks pregnant...
My husband and I own a restaurant. Earlier in the week we ran fish tacos as a special with mahi mahi for the fish. I placed an order for myself for dinner and one of the cooks questioned me on if I should be eating fish. I wanted to scream at him to just give me the damn tacos and let me worry about that. Instead I just gave him evil eye. I think he got the message.
It's no one's business what we put in our bodies. Our bodies, our babies, our choices! It's not like we're doing lines of cocaine!
I went to a tea shop and kept trying to order green tea and the manager kept insisting on only showing me the herbal teas. I told her point blank to give me the green and she said, "Is your dr ok with that?" I gave her the biggest death glare and she just let it drop.
I had a client pretty much tell me my coffee was poisoning my baby but was then confused why I couldn't take an Advil for my toothache. If you aren't pregnant, or never been pregnant don't tell a pregnant woman what she can and can't put in her body. Especially this late in the game, I'm likely to slap a bitch.
So I say drink your frapp and enjoy!!!!
On another note, my own doctor really got on my nerves the other day with the caffeine issue. I didn't put two and two together until about a week ago but my blood pressure started going up right around the same time I started drinking caffeine again. Once I was on bed rest I no longer needed any and after a few days without it my blood pressure was suddenly normal again. I brought this theory up with my doctor who agreed I might be extra sensitive and it could have been the culprit. But then she scolded me on drinking caffeine at all! I mean really?! If you didn't want me drinking it then shouldn't that have been something you mentioned early on rather than at my 40 week appointment! I stayed within recommended doses so I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal. Apparently I am too sensitive to it to have any more, at least while pregnant but don't act like I've done something wrong when you never once mentioned that you don't think it's a good idea for any pregnant woman. Although I would have been skeptical of her opinion I would have followed doctors orders!
