Really H

H decided he wanted to go out on a scouting trip before hunting season and promised he would be home in time for my dentist appointment so I didn't have to take Alexis. He calls me about 10 minutes before the apt to tell me that he won't be there for another 45 minutes so I would have to take her. She did fine other than when she had to leave the room for a couple of minutes for x rays. Then when I got done he called and said his truck was stuck in the mud all the way to the axle. Now he is trying to find someone to help him out and is having no luck. I was worried this was going to happen. He did this twice a year ago in a different truck and we keep getting flood warnings here. When he called earlier he said he kept having to change his route because of flooding. That should have been a sign to return home, but no.

Re: Really H

  • My H does almost the same thing, he has gotten stuck quite a few times on his scouting trips.  I keep hoping he will learn his lesson but after 5 years of him repeating it I don't think it has sunk in yet.  Good luck.  My H asked if he can go scouting next week before we leave for our friends wedding, I told him no he has to wait until after we come back.

  • He was able to get a ride to where I coul pick him up, but the truck is still stuck. He says it will need a tractor or something similar to get it out. He is trying to sleep now because he has not slept at all yet and he has to go to work in a few hours.
