Did you know that blueberries suddenly make everything edible? That chicken that Daddy made that you firmly shoved away - miraculously edible with blueberries. Those green beans? Blueberries solve that problem, too!
Oh.my.goodness. I thought DS wouldn't eat things because of texture issues, but he ate every.single.bite from his plate without a fuss once I pulled out the blueberries. I thought we were past this bribery nonsense. We've had some SERIOUS mealtime meltdowns over the past few months, and I thought it was texture aversion since he would spit it out as soon as it touched his tongue. We've been scrambling to find him alternative meals at dinner time (which I swore I'd never do) because we just needed him to eat. After that first blueberry, I barely had to even prompt him to eat another bite.
Little sneaky mastermind. All of this food rejection has merely been a ploy to get more blueberries...
This is just an age thing, right?
Re: a dinner time miracle!
He didn't fall for that. I had to give him one after every bite. Sheesh.
I'm glad we're not the only ones who still have to bribe!
