Suddenly hard to put down at night

This past week DS has been exceptionally difficult to put down to bed at night and won't sleep very long when he's down either. The other night, he woke up from a nap at 230 and didn't go to bed until after 800. He cried for 30 minutes and then fall asleep while I was rocking him. Then was up at 1130, 130, 400 and 630. I'm so.so.tired.

I thought he already went through the 4 month wakeful when he was 3 1/2 months old! I guess that wasn't it - maybe this is? I'm pretty sure we're going to start sleep training next week. Oy.

    My little guy has good nights (2-3 wakeups is a good night for us, ha) sometimes, but most nights he still wakes 4 times. So yep, it is time to sleep train starting on Tuesday night :( Not looking forward to it, but its gotta be done, and I am sure it will be worth it for everyone in the end. He cries a lot during bedtime most of the time anyways, so might as well put some of that crying to good use!

    Those are almost the exact wake up times during my daughters 4 month wakeful. She's 5 months today and the last 2 nights slept from 8-5am, fed, and slept 2 more hours. That was her normal routine prior to 4m. If it happens again tonight I have hope!

    It has been a brutal few days for us. Each night is progressively worse. We did the four month wakeful and had maybe three weeks of good sleep before everything went to crap. Tonight he went down at 8:30 only to wake before 11. He had been sleeping till at least 3 or 4 am. It blows. Hope things get better for you guys soon!

    well we've been doing better b/c we started sleep training. It got to the point where the only way he would go down for naps or night time was nursing (not rocking, paci, bottle) - and he was getting up 4-5 times a night. So Friday night we started CIO and we've been doing it for night and naps. It's definitely getting better!

    my LO did this when his 2 bottom teeth were coming in...we gave him tylenol to help with the pain. now his sleep is back to normal.
