I got laid off today, dependant upon my company going out of business tomorrow if we don't have a bank to back us. no more posts about MIL raising my kid and certainly no birthday party for my son past him, DH and myself and maybe a cake. FML. Unemployment....really!?

my h has been unemployed/underemployed since May of last year.

you will be ok

things like insanely expensive parties are totally unnecessary.

you didn't like being away from your kid and now you don't have to be.

this will likely be a blessing in disguise.

It's a mixture of a blessing in disguise and be careful what you wish for. It's definitely going to be a struggle.....but I've got some opportunities that I can explore. I know we'll be just fine. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and I've been through it before. It's just much different now with having the baby. It's also very difficult because I've been with this company since the beginning, we just celebrated our 15th anniversary last week. We've been in a bad way for quite a while, and the ship is finally going down. I've had a lot of good memories here and some bad, it'll be very sad to leave.
