Converting toddler bed

I have a DaVinci Parker convertible crib that we are currently using as a toddler bed. We are getting ready to convert it to the full size bed for my almost 4 year old daughter. Do we need a boxspring? It might sound like a silly question, but I'm kind of lost, I can't find any info about what all we need to convert it. The conversion rail kit didn't come with any directions/info, and the original directions with the crib that tells us how to convert the rails doesn't say either. Please help!

Re: Converting toddler bed

  • I was under the impression that the convertible cribs are just regular bed frames when they become full sized beds, so I would say yes. The conversion kit is just a couple of rails, right? Not enough to support a flimsy top mattress.
