In home workouts

How do you do this!? I used to be very active, prior to moving I had a nice home gym in he building just an elevator down. I have mats and dvd's and all that jazz but I so miss running! I don't have a running stroller so I'm yearnig for a run! How have you ladies gotten back in the groove! I've done a couple squats with baby in the carrier!
Im thinking at 7:30-8 ill start a run outside usually the time my MH gets home.

  • I go for a run at 7 P.M. a few nights a week, when DH is home with the girls.  Sometimes I'll do a work-out video while he's away, but it isn't as easy with a toddler trying to run through my legs.

  • I love turbofire for in home cardio. It's kickboxing combinations with fun music and lots of jumping. I had great results before baby and I'm hoping it will get me back into shape!

    I went to a stroller strides workout the other day and loved it!! They incorporate baby in the work out. Unfortunately I'm a teacher and won't be able to go once school starts bc they are during the day. If you are a SAHM look into them!!

  • I am lucky to have a few great friends that will watch LO for an hour most days to get out and run, and last night MH and I did a Jillian Michaels dvd. LO went from his play mat, to swing and then on floor with me, because he won't stay in one place long. I still managed to get a good workout though.

  • I rotate between the Jillian michaels DVDs that I have. 20-30 minute workout tops so I can usually fit that in without a problem.

  • I also love turbofire. Lately with going back to work and starting school I'm limited with time so I started doing ten minute trainer. It seems to be working really well for me.

  • I swear by Tracy Anderson's videos!  I can do them with my daughter on the yoga mat in front of me.  I really get my heart rate up and feel like I am getting results.
