I've never made it that far without knowing. I have very irregular periods (2/year if I'm lucky). I didn't clue in and take a test with DS until I was about 8 weeks. With this one I was 2 days shy of 10 weeks when I took a test.
I don't have many symptoms in early pregnancy, other than being tired which this time around I figured was due to being a single parent while DH was away for work for a few weeks.
I think it's odd, but I know my body really well sooooo I don't really know what to say. According to TLC it's fairly common. Just make sure you go see a Doctor and get on some vitamins. Good luck, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I've seen "I didn't know I was pregnant" so I know it is possible. I've always known I was pregnant incredibly early, but part of me wishes I didn't know until later on....though maybe not 18 weeks.
I know my body too well to "not know". But oh, would I love to "not know" until my 18th week! Not having to wait and stress over the first trimester?? Being able to find out the sex as soon as you know your pregnant. That would just be awesome.
I think yes it's odd but in a very lucky way realizing that you got pregnant when you have cycles that are that sparatic.;) I hope every thing is ok and even though its a shock for you I hope it works out.again you are very lucky
Lucky. I think I would have thought I was dying of flu, pelvic inflammatory disease, lower abdominal cancer, other things provided by Google searches, had I not taken a test. : ) Congrats!
A bit odd, yes. I didn't find out during this pregnancy till I was 8 weeks. I have irregular periods, didn't think anything of skipping one. But I was so nauseated all the time! So I knew something was up.
Lucky!!! Lol I WISH I didn't know as early as I found out!!! To not have all the first trimester issues..... One lucky girl! On the other hand, I sure hope you don't smoke or drink get those vitamins in you and get ready.. The next few months are going to fly by!!! Congrats momma!!

Totally agree! I wouldn't be wishing right now I was 18 weeks to I could see an ultrasound or feel it move! Congrats!
My periods were always irregular too, but I would've taken a pregnancy test long before 18 weeks along...that is a LATE period. So yeah, I think it's odd that you're just finding out.
This. Exactly.

I found out I was pregnant at 5weeks,well I was feeling this really bad pains on my abdomenal ,had severe headachs and my periods were late so I knew something was defernetly wrong.Though I didn't have any morning sicknesses and had lost my epitite when something is up in my body I can feel it.Everyone is different cause I remember when my sister was pregnant and she had only found out when she was 4months pregnant.Anyway Goodluck with your pregnancy
I found out at 9 weeks, and I'm a little embarrassed by my story.
When I was about 5 weeks, I started feeling really sick-nauseous and tired all the time. My SO and I were new to the area, so I didn't have a GP yet, and went to an urgent care near our apartment. The doctor on call took one look in my ears, and poked around my belly a little bit, and said it was just a really bad sinus infection. I totally believed him, and even had spotting for a few days (I thought it was a light period, since I've always been on the lighter side).
Fast forward to a month later, I was still feeling sick and realized I was a few days late. I took a test, and the rest is history. My closest friends thought I made up the sinus infection story to cover the first trimester, but, nope, I was just completely oblivious.
I had a friend who recently found out at 19 weeks. She was having regular cycles and was still on birth control. Every body is different. With my first, I was pretty sure I was, and with this pregnancy, I knew almost instantly. Hopefully, your baby is happy and healthy inside.
I didn't find out until home pregnancy test at 17 weeks and then confirmed by US at 18 weeks. In my case though I am dealing with Hyperthyroidism w/ Graves disease and my Endocrinologist told me I wouldn't have a period due to the extreme amount of thyroid hormones in my body. Regardless of what my endocrinologist told me I still took a pregnancy test every month that I didn't get a period and they were all negative. It wasn't until I took the pregnancy test around 17 weeks that it came up positive and like I said we got scheduled for an US that next week and voila! there was a baby in there! I never had any pregnancy symptoms and my endocrinologist thinks that because I had such a high amount of thyroid hormones in my body that it blocked out everything else.
THX THAT REALLY HELPED ALOT AND YOUR MADE NOT FEEL BAD AS OTHERS DID SO THX AND I WENT TO THE DOC AND GOT MY PRENATALS AND EVERYTHING WITH THE BABY AND ME ARE FINE THX ALOT AND BY THE WAY ITS A BOY!!1

It's not impossible, but not "normal" either.
