Anyone else tired all.the.time??

I'm going to mention it to my dr at my next appt but I am exhausted from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to bed. Just crazy tired all the time. Obviously I expect to be somewhat worn out at this point but to what extent?

Re: Anyone else tired all.the.time??

  • Have you been tested for anemia?

I sleep like crap and am moderately anemic, so I am not surprised that I feel tired most of the time.

  • I was also going to ask about anemia. They found out I was anemic at my GD screen. I've been taking the iron supplements for 2 weeks and I feel like a new person.

  • I could go to bed at 7 and wake up at 11 everyday, with a nap in the afternoon.  I think it's just the poor quality of sleep and all the things going on with me and my mind constantly running.

Run it by your doctor to see if they have any suggestions or recommendations.
  • I am tired all the time. My dr says that it's just pregnancy and running around after two little ones. My DH actually said to me today how exhausted I look, maybe I will get a nap in today:) Good luck!

  • Are you sleeping at night? I'm beat all day, but I only get 5 hours on a good night. I actually went in late to work today b/c after I made DS breakfast I had to have DH take over so I could crawl back in bed for 15 minutes. Exhaustion and insomnia are no fun.

  • Oh and also, I have found that staying hydrated helps a little.

I'm like this. I'm not anemic, but I've always been a sleeper. I sleep at night but I also toss and turn to get comfy plus disrupted sleep from getting up to pee 3-4 times a night.

  • Not really.  I cap out earlier than usual at the end of the night (BF has put me to bed a few times lol), but other than that...about 8:30PM to 5:30AM, I'm asleep.

  • This week I am, but I haven't been sleeping much at all.  I had about 5 hours of very interrupted sleep last night.

  • I have been tired this entire pregnancy.  Midwife blames chasing two toddlers because all tests come back normal.

  • I've been exhausted the past two weeks.  I haven't been sleeping as much at night because I get up to go to the bathroom so much and have trouble falling back to sleep.  We added a second fan in our bedroom two nights ago and I've tried some visualization/breathing techniques to help me get back to sleep and that's really been helping.
  • I am and I'm not anemic.

I wake up about every 90 mins to pee - even if I've limited fluid in the evenings.

  • i was saying this today. i'm exhausted all the time and i get a lot of sleep...maybe it's too much or just because it's not great sleep.

  • I get 8 hours of sleep at night, on average. Of course it hasn't been the greatest quality sleep, between waking up to pee or take Tums :-/

  • So tired. Usually in the afternoons. It's awesome, just another of those fun pregnancy symptoms. I was with dd1 as well. As soon as I was home from work I would sleep until it was time for bed, and then I would sleep all night.
  • I'm tired all day! I have low iron though. If I don't eat every hour and a half I get even more exhuasted. I am curently taking 2 naps a day. It does help me to do yoga or swim.
  • I am exhausted all day. I will fall asleep on the couch and DH will wake me up to move to bed and I lay there wide eyed and bushy tailed wanting to talk to him haha. My sleep schedule is so jacked up and LO kicking and turning all night long doesn't help. It's just par for the course in my opinion. Oh and my OB said I am "anemic by pregnancy standards, but not regular standards" whatever that means...but did not direct me to take any iron supplements.

  • I am exhausted all the time also. I think it's a combination of working so much where I'm on my feet all day & waking up constantly at night because my back hurts so bad. I seem to sleep better during the daylight when I get the chance though. It's strange to me.

I am the same way. Certain days I have way more energy, but for the most part, I am completely exhausted...

  • Zzz.......zzzzzz......zzzz.... Falling asleep while bumping.
  • Always tired.  I think it is this stage of pregnancy, the poor sleep at night, the waking up to pee every hour to two, the need to move due to pain every hour or so and hormones...I am on iron supplements, but they don't seem to work.  Plus, add in the insomnia and I am just plain exhausted.
    Lilypie First Birthday tickers
  • Just started a part time job so I try to get 8 hours of sleep at night but doesn't help with LO moving around. I also have to be the one acting like a air traffic controller at my house just to make sure everyone is up, fed and schedules are not conflicting. I try to nap on my days off but I catch up on my housework. Before I took my new job I was always sleeping. It didn't help when DH's alarm would go off at 5 am and I was in bed no later than 11 pm.
  • I am tired all the time too!  It's not fun.

  • I have been extremely exhausted, lethargic and sluggish lately. Found out today that I'm severely anemic and have to start prescription iron 3 times a day. Anyone else on that much iron? Seems like a lot to me!

  • Yep. I'm could sleep 24/7. I'm anemic though. I've been on supplements for two weeks, but I haven't seen much improvement yet. Good luck!

I'm on one Vitron C pill per day. I'm getting my blood drawn at my next appointment, and if I'm still anemic, my doctor told me she'll have me start taking two.
